From conception to delivery: the process of getting a Web site
Planning
- Initial consultation and discussion
On the first meeting we'll discuss what you want your Web site to do
for you and what content you want to include. We'll also discuss your
options for Web hosting and domain names.
- Price negotiation and signing of contract
We will generate a quote for your consideration. If you are happy with
our price, we will then ask you to sign a contract for the Web site design.
- Project brief and specifications written
We'll start making a list of specifications from the notes of the first meeting.
It may be useful to meet again at this point to finalise the details.
- Design phase is entered into
We'll create custom graphics and/or photographs to complement
your content and will present you with a mock-up design and report on
what we believe will work best for your site. With your input, we'll
continue to refine the site until you are satisfied so you'll know
exactly what the finished product looks like in advance.
Production
- Accepted design is translated to code
Once you are satisfied with the prototype, we'll set about making the
site work by designing a user-friendly and widely accessible Web site
with a visually appealing and intuitive graphical interface.
- Tracking your site's progress
You'll be able to view your site on the Internet in an area which is only accessible by you.
By tracking the work that we do on a regular basis, you can keep control over the
content as we add it and request any necessary modifications throughout the development stage.
Post-production
- Web site is made available to the general public
Once you have approved the final design of your Web site it will be made
accessible to anyone on the Internet.
- Control of your Web site is passed over to you
All passwords and access details are given to client and the Web site is burned to CD.
- Ongoing Support
After your site is complete and online, we'll continue to provide you with support as and
when required for an agreed maintenance fee.
