Mint

I have one mint plant which I started from a cutting of a cutting that I took from a supermarket-bought mint plant in 2005. The original mint plant didn't survive our cold winter of 2005 but luckily I managed to take a cutting of it at the end of autumn and grow roots. I kept the cutting in a greenhouse over winter, but unfortunately I let it all but die because it was too cold to go outside and garden.

At the beginning of Spring, I took the last remaining alive stem and grew roots on it in a glass of water. I planted it and took it with me to our new flat in the centre of Toulouse in April. Since then, I've repotted it and moved it into a more sunny position, where it is thriving!! I am currently (July 2006) propagating it from the cuttings that I take when I make mint tea.
